    Summary

    Inspects job site for possible hazards prior to operating equipment.

    Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance, and repair of city roads, drainage systems, water systems, sewer systems, building structures, and grounds.

    Sweeps streets, salts roads, cuts grass, picks up, removes and/or hauls trash, garbage and other debris, and removes trees and tree limbs.

    Shovels and hauls asphalt, demolition debris, road mix, rock, and dirt; cleans gutters, drainage ditches, and right-of-ways.

    Unstops sewers, pulls hose, locates and inspects manholes and sewer lines, clears and disinfects sewer lines and yards.

    Hauls explosives, demolishes houses, buildings, and related structures and removes associated debris.

    Digs trenches; cuts right-of-ways; lays bricks; builds, repairs and maintains roads, sidewalks, headwalls, and fences; patches holes; packs asphalt; unstops storm drains; cuts pavement; and builds and sets concrete forms.

    Installs and/or repairs/replaces water lines, sewer lines, meters, valves, drainage boxes, and fire hydrants.

    Flags traffic, places/retrieves signage and barricades, and loads/unloads trucks.

    Prepares and/or receives forms, reports or other documents; forwards as appropriate.

    Communicates via telephone and/or two-way radio; provides information; takes and relays messages and/or directs calls to appropriate personnel; responds to requests for service.

    Responds to requests for information from officials, employees, the public or other individuals.

    Minimum Qualifications
    High school diploma or GED required; one year of experience in medium to heavy equipment operation and maintenance or a related field.     -Will thread fiberglass (Raw Glass) by hand from creel around tension whorl through eyelets until it exits the creel and tie off glass by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will thread glass ends by hand through vat eyelets in correct sequence through the dies to carrier bar by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will carry yarn ends by hand to the winder area and wrap glass around winders to be wound on to cores by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will start packages using start up procedures by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will perform walk through inspection of line on the hour by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will maintain creel by loading/unloading and splicing raw glass with splicer as needed by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will clean dies determined by visual inspection or breakouts with line running or stopped using cleaning supplies and/or air hose by reading and performing written instructions.  
    -Will perform hour-by-hour duties as documented by reading and performing written instructions.

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The Front Desk Associate represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s stay. Customer service is the key to this position in the hospitality business and the manner used is important to both the customer and the team members.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Registers guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.

    2. Assists in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.

    3. Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit card, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.

    4. Understands room’s status and room status tracking.

    5. Knows and explains room locations, types of rooms available and room rates.

    6. Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.

    7. Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms.

    8. Possess a working knowledge of the reservation department, takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary, and knows all cancellation procedures.

    9. Creates room keys.

    10. Knows how to use front office equipment.

    11. Processes guest checkouts.

    12. Posts and files all charges to guest, master, and city ledger accounts.

    13. Answers all phone call and use proper telephone etiquette.

    14. Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.

    15. Reads and initials the front desk communication log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.

    16. Attends department meetings as scheduled.

    17. Coordinates guestroom maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division.

    18. Reports any unusual occurrences or request to the manager.

    19. Knows all safety and emergency procedures and is aware of accident prevention policies.

    20. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.

    21. Understands that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to another shift.

    22. Responsible for cash handling and the amount of money in the front desk drawer.

    23. Assists with keeping laundry going throughout the day including, but not limited to: Sorting, Washing, Drying, and Folding.

    24. Other duties as requested from the Supervisor or General Manger.


    COVID-19 considerations:
    All staff members are required to wear face coverings (masks). All staff members are subject to temperature screening prior to each shift. Enhanced cleaning procedures in guest rooms and public areas with Ecolab cleaning and disinfecting products.

    - Maintain assigned equipment (carts, vacuums, bottles, clipboards, radios, fans, room keys, etc.).
    - Have a positive attitude.
    - Willing to complete public area cleaning as assigned.

    Must be able to work following shift: 9am-End of Assignment.

    Referral & New Hire Program- $150 for referring a friend for 60 plus days; $150 if New Hire stays 60 days/ $150 if New Hire stays after 6 months/ $300 if New Hire stays 1 year.
