JOB SUMMARY:
The S2 Line Tender I duties are to run a yarn coating line consisting of loading and unloading creels, putting up ends, maintaining and the correct sequence for threading of fiberglass through ends, dies, and carrier bars. This position also requires you to startup yarn on take-up machines, remove packages, perform operational inspections and complete required documentation and paperwork. Management may assign additional duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Will conduct an initial and hourly quality walk through of work area determined by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will thread fiberglass (Raw Glass) by hand from creel around tension whorl through eyelets until it exits the creel and tie off glass by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will thread glass ends by hand through vat eyelets in correct sequence through the dies to carrier bar by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will carry yarn ends by hand to the winder area and wrap glass around winders to be wound on to cores by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will start packages using start up procedures by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will perform walk through inspection of line on the hour by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will maintain creel by loading/unloading and splicing raw glass with splicer as needed by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will clean dies determined by visual inspection or breakouts with line running or stopped using cleaning supplies and/or air hose by reading and performing written instructions.
-Will perform hour-by-hour duties as documented by reading and performing written instructions.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
May clean department equipment and associated area (5S Tasks). May remove partial/full packages from winders. May assist doffer perform doffing duties as needed. May move bobbin carriers and debris from area to storage or dumpster. SPECIAL

-Clean behind and above dryers on a weekly basis.
-Keep laundry room clean. Mop floor as necessary.
-Follow proper OSHA/HAZCOM procedures.
-Never allow linen to sit on floor.
-Bring any equipment problems to the attention of the Director of Housekeeping.
-Other duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibility: To provide housekeeping service to our guests.
Essential Functions:

-Dust all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, streamlines, televisions, tables, etc.
-Have complete understanding of the proper layout of the furniture and amenities in each room type.
-Be accountable for the guest’s belongings left in the room. Any found items must be turned in immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Inspector or Manager on Duty.
-Be aware of any suspicious activities or persons. Report such activity immediately to your supervisor or the General Manager.
-Report maintenance items to the front desk as they are observed.
-Turn in keys left in guest rooms to the front desk.
-Watch for message lights in checkout rooms and clear as needed.
-When working inside a guest room, pull your cart in front of the door to the room, making sure that it is not blocking the hallway. If someone tries to enter the room while you are working, ask to see their key packet with room number or direct them to the front desk if they do not have it. Report any problems to the housekeeping supervisor or General Manager. If asked to get in their room, you must confirm name and reservation with front desk.
-Follow all departmental rules and procedures in doing your job.
-Maintain assigned equipment. Report any problems with your equipment to your supervisor or maintenance immediately.
-Be aware of and follow all safety rules and use caution in doing the job.
-Vacuum hallways near and around assigned guest rooms
